Terry Fabric Prosthetic socks for use with the Silicone Lock-Pin system are used to
provide a comfortable, padded support between the prosthetic device
and Silicone Lock-Pin system inner sheath. The garment is produced with a non-fray hole
so the lock-pin can connect to the prosthesis sandwiching the sock between
the inner silicone sheath and the prosthetic device. The sock has a terry
fabric structure
which gives a large level of cushioning providing a greater level of
comfort during normal day to day wear than the inner sheath alone. If the
user desires a slightly lower level of cushioning and greater control may

Medalin Terry Prosthetic Socks for the Silicone Lock-Pin system come in several width sizes: The Below Knee Terry Prosthetic Sock for the Silicone Lock-Pin system (4SPB) is suitable for below knee amputees. There are three sizes of Above Knee prosthetic sock for the Silicone Lock-Pin system - each has a greater lateral stretch: Above Knee (5SPA), Extra Wide Above Knee (6SPX) and Ultra Wide Above Knee (17ULA). Each product comes in several lengths to suit the specific user, some people prefer the longer socks so they can be folded back over the prosthetic device to help secure it and provide extra comfort.
